The Afterbath

All pics are clickable to larger images:) Here's the Benster last night in his "afterbath."
Okay, so two and a half months is a long time ~ducks head~ but....three cranky kids can drive anyone to the point of insanity. I can't even find time to paint my toe nails, let alone keep up here. I promise to do better:)

So, wow...so much has happened I don't know where to start.

We were attacked by a large spider and his ten million relatives:)

Luckily, they didn't eat much and we lived to tell the tale:)

Kayla had her baton recital. It was hot and miserable with a few hundred people and nowhere to sit. We even showed up early. What terribly poor planning. Kayla did awesome. She looked so cute in her little Elvis outfit. She twirled to the tune of Burnin' Love. There was lots of dance and merriment.

The Benster has taken to sleeping all over the place...anywhere but his bed.

He can stand, cruise and crawl now:)

He loves playing dress-up with his big brother and big sister:
He got his first amber teething necklace:
He got his first tooth on Father's Day followed very quickly by two more. There are at least three or four just waiting to burst open. This has not made for the happiest baby:( He's a little biter now too.

He's discovered a love for broccoli and whipped cream:)

AJ finished up the t-ball season in June. I think he enjoyed it, but all of the kids seemed to be easily distracted. Here he is at his last game:

Our garden blossomed quite well for the first month of summer. Sadly, a good part of it succumbed to the heat, but we did get an awesome zucchini and we're still getting tons of cucumbers.

Now, aside from the mass quantity of cucumbers and a few measly tomatoes, we'll be getting a good portion of our weekly produce from our CSA. For $25 a week and a little bit of gas, we're privileged to support a local organic farmer and make a weekly trip to the Botanic Gardens Farmer's Market. We got our first share yesterday:)

We got in our shipment of Laptop Lunch boxes. The kids love them and can't wait to use them for school. We got them through a co-op and I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed. I'm hoping to give them a more versatile lunch. Even daddy has his own and has been using it faithfully.

AJ got his first big boy bike and Kayla got her first razor. I know she's awfully young to be shaving, but what can you do:)

We had a great Fourth of July weekend. Daddy brought home a box for the kids to play in. Yes...I said a box. Our kids are probably the weirdest kids on the planet. Just ask the employees at Sears about their experience in March. If only we could have fit that box in car, lol.

We saw fireworks here in town on the third. I guess as we age some things aren't quite as spectacular as they once were. We all had fun nonetheless. The city puts on a nice gathering with jumping houses for the kids, a fire truck to play in, a petting zoo, and lots of food to widen the waistline:)

Wouldn't be a party without a crabby princess:)

He actually looks quite terrified up close, lol.

Daddy giving the slide a whirl!

Daddy being all sly:)
